Dr. Folasade Adunni Coker is an accomplished attorney with an impressive tenure of over 23 years post-call experience. Her career has primarily focused on taxation, amassing over 20 years of expertise in the field. Her knowledge spans a diverse array of subjects, including Revenue Enforcement, Emerging Markets & Developing Economies (EMDE), Global Value Chains (GVC), Mediation, Ease of Doing Business, and Corporate Governance, among others.

Her academic journey is equally distinguished, starting with her undergraduate degree in Law from Ogun State University. She pursued her thirst for knowledge further, obtaining a Masters Degree in Taxation and Enforcement from the University of Lagos. Dr. Coker's commitment to excellence culminated in her PhD in Taxation from the esteemed Atlantic International University, USA School of Business and Economics, where she graduated with honors, recognized as an authority in the realm of the informal sector.

Currently serving as a Director within the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, Dr. Coker holds the role of Director of Informal Sector & Special Duties. Her dedication to professional development has seen her attend leadership programs at renowned institutions such as the London Business School, U.K., and Cranfield School of Management, U.K.

Dr. Coker's international standing is underscored by her certification as an IMF Tax Expert specializing in Tax Administration Diagnostic Assessment Tools (TADAT). She has shared her wealth of knowledge by providing training to sub-national entities within Nigeria, including Akwa-Ibom IRS, Cross Rivers IRS, Kano IRS, and Kaduna IRS. Her influence extends beyond borders, as she has imparted her expertise to tax administrators in Kisumu and Mombasa Counties in Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, Tanzania, and Ghana, promoting international best practices in tax administration.

In addition to her tax acumen, Dr. Coker is a recognized Accredited Mediator at the Lagos Multi-Door Court House. She serves as the Nigerian representative and expert in the TADAT/IMF Partnership Group on Taxation and TADAT Connect, where global tax administrators convene to discuss international best practices in taxation.

Her professional affiliations are numerous, including her status as an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and a distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). Dr. Coker's commitment to women's empowerment is evident through her role as Chief Whip of Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals Development of Nigeria (WEPDN) and her past secretaryship at Lions Club (Onyx). She also actively participates as an associate member of WIMBIZ and mentors through the WIM-Board program.

Dr. Coker's influence extends even further as the inaugural mock first female Nigerian President under the WIMBIZ-WIMPOL mentoring program.
